Specialist media and presentation training courses for athletes and sports administrators

Ron Kandelaars also offers specialist media training and presentation training courses for athletes and sports administrators which draw on the personal experience and expertise of well-known sporting and media identity, Mark Bickley.

Public interest in elite sport is growing. The courses developed by Ron and Mark provide athletes and administrators with the skills required to present their stories powerfully while avoiding the pitfalls of media engagement.

Through comprehensive hands-on training, participants improve their skills when dealing with the media, and when making public presentations.

Mark and Ron have known each other for 20 years when Ron first produced Mark’s appearances on Channel Nine’s Postcards program as a guest presenter.

Mark’s experience as a high-profile player and regular media contributor is invaluable. He was a dual premiership AFL captain, and worked as the Adelaide Crows’ caretaker coach in 2011, in addition to being assistant coach for five years.

Mark’s media experience includes having worked as a sports presenter for Channel 9 News, a commentator and panellist on the Sunday Footy Show, and as a long-time presenter of FiveAA’s top-rating weeknight sports program. In addition, his passion for community work is highlighted by his role as former Chairman of SA Great.
